With a unique position atop Columbia University's Butler Hall, Terrace in the Sky occupies the penthouse suite, welcoming diners into an intimate and warm setting reminiscent of a comfortable private residence. Beautiful newly built fireplace, pristine white tablecloths and simple red roses decorate the original 1930 terrace floor and teak surroundings of a main dining room. Sweeping views of the bracelet of bridges and the intricate New York skyline can be seen through full-length windows from every table. Sumptuous décor and a smashing view of the city highlights this Morningside Heights rooftop classicist. All agree it is one of the most romantic spots in town.

Executive Chef Jason Potanovich truly wears his trade on his sleeve each day as he toils in the kitchen at Terrace in The Sky. Jason's views on cooking are simple. He believes that having the finest ingredients available at the given times of the year, coupled with good technique ensure a high quality dining experience. Terrace in the Sky's menus change several times yearly. Jason's signature dishes include Pan roasted Foie Gras, Grilled Tuna, Dover Sole for two along with countless other culinary delights. A tasting menu is also available with the entire table participating. Jason works closely with Sommelier Christopher Bernic to ensure his menus are paired with the perfect wines to compliment your meal.
