Some rave reviews about Via Brasil restaurant in New York City...

Village Voice 2001 BEST OF:

Best Feijoada - Via Brasil: One of the first restaurants of Little Brazil, VIA BRASIL still keeps folks coming back, despite its glitzy refurbishment a few years ago. They return for the warm welcome and for food like the big-enough-for-two portion of feijoada, which is available every day. The cauldron of meat and beans, the fluffy rice, the orange segments, and the well-cut couve, or kale, are enough to make a Carioca out of everyone. Add a Brahma or two and soon you'll be thinking that the dowager at the next table is the girl from Ipanema.      -Jessica Harris

New York Magzine:

Bossa nova over to this happy-as-Carnivale eatery where authetic feijodas are enjoyed with powerful capirinhas.  The atmosphere at Via Brasil is as colorful and lively as the flavors of the restaurant's menu.

City Guide Magazine:

The perfect spot to enjoy an expertly made Caipirinha while enjoying energetic Brazilian music. In addition to live music Wed.-Sat. nights, you can enjoy delicious Brazilian fare, including churrascos and Feijoada, served nightly.
